Names of Greek villages that have been massively and violently destroyed because their inhabitants resisted the Nazi invader during the period of Nazi occupation. The more brave the resistance was, the more cruel the atrocities have been. Villages were burned whose inhabitants were massively executed. Among these toponyms I mention also some personalities who, because of their patriotic action, were tortured and executed either by the occupier or by their fellow traitors who served the enemy. These stories are being repeated today, actually never stopped, at every level both in small and large scale. These localities refer to contemporary attacks against life itself, that are powered by modern weapons of mass destruction, mainly economic nonsense with the proper appearance -suit / tie-, which operate daily washing programs and launder through the power exercised by every kind of detergents / softeners. For any modern Greek expatriates hostage various “developed” economies, the whole Greece constitutes a burnt village. The retraction of the war crimes and the awakened memory of the pain is revived every day and becomes here a way of dealing with and reminding of the contemporary global crime that takes place in the name of economy.
